History of Mt. Zion Preparatory Academy
Mt. Zion Preparatory Academy, a private boarding high school, located in Prince George’s county, Maryland was established in 2019. MZPA is the evolving effect of Mt. Zion Prep School established in 2011, a post-secondary school with emphasis on academics and athletics. As a direct result of the much anticipated growth of Mt. Zion Prep School; the progression into Mt Zion Preparatory Academy was necessary to accommodate the international and local enrollment demands. Currently, Mt. Zion Preparatory Academy is accepting students locally and internationally.
Mt Zion has created a culture that inspires students and unifies the community. Teachers are given the guidance to develop lessons that promote thought-provoking conversations and transformative learning. We have a high value for diversity, welcoming students from all over the world, and encouraging individuals to share differing opinions and perspectives. At Mt Zion, students find a safe, uplifting environment where they can fully be themselves and freely express their thoughts.
