Coach McClain joins Mount Zion prep Academy with a very extensive coaching résumé.  He currently holds the all-time dual meet wins record in two Maryland schools, as well as two Maryland Independent Schools Coach of the Year awards in 2023 and 2025. Coach McClain has also led two separate programs to state championships (3), held top 15 dual state rankings the past 10 years, and coached 6 All-Americans in his 14 years as a head coach.  A former collegiate wrestler, Coach McClain is a graduate of Coppin State University and Ohio University, holding degrees in History, Social Studies Teacher Education, and Athletic Administration.
